Placement Cell

The campus recruitment programme attempts to match the aspirations of the future managers with the expectations of the corporate sector. Besides continuous academic input every student is imparted in development of soft skills, business skills, personality development, communication skills and most important the ultimate polish for turning him into business professional. Placement counseling begins early in the program and continuous with live exposure to the industry & its dynamics.

The placement activity will be coordinated by the students of SIMT , spearheaded by the Corporate Affairs Division comprising of Industry experts. SIMT aims at identifying potential companies, makes presentations before selected companies and co-ordinate with students in terms of matching their aspirations. The activity spreads over the better part of the year, wherein SIMT makes special efforts to change the students.

Some of the Proposed focused activities are:

  • Career counseling by faculty and trained professionals in different functional areas.
  • A st ructured Personal i ty Development Programme, wherein interviewing skills are imbibed by trainers and corporate's alike.
  • Developing effective resumes.
  • Mentoring by the industry experts in different core areas like finance, human resource management, marketing and operation, in terms of sharing experiences vis-à-vis realities of corporate life, refining expectations and projecting future trends. All students doing a full time 2 year PGPM Program are eligible for campus recruitment provided they comply with the following:

Eligibility: -

  • 90 % attendance
  • No involvement in misbehavior / indiscipline
  • No backlog in internal /final exam
  • No dues certificate must be produced from the accounts department at the time of semester examination and placement.
